Samlin Racing Makes Sprint Debut at Extreme Festival – Kyalami

This past weekend, Samlin Racing took on a new challenge, stepping into the high-intensity world of sprint racing at the Extreme Festival at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. Known for our endurance racing roots, this marked our first-ever appearance in a sprint format, and it was an experience we won’t forget.

Unlike the long stints and strategic pacing of endurance events, sprint racing is all about explosive speed, sharp focus, and on-the-limit racing from lights out to chequered flag. Our team adapted quickly to the shift in dynamics, delivering a strong performance and gaining valuable experience in this exciting format.

But what truly made the weekend memorable was the incredible support from fans and motorsport enthusiasts. It was a pleasure to have so many of you visit us in the pits, check out the cars, and share in the excitement. These moments remind us why we do what we do — not just for the podiums, but for the passion we get to share with the racing community.

From performance on track to connection off it, our first Extreme Festival outing was a big success. Thank you to the organisers, fellow competitors, and every person who stopped by — we felt the love and can’t wait to be back.

With valuable seat time under our belt and momentum building, we now shift our focus to Cape Town for Round 3 of the SA Endurance Series (SAES). Let’s keep pushing!
